Dr. E. Dean Powell practices dentistry in Hickory, North Carolina, where he provides a comprehensive dental experience for his patients including cosmetic, restorative, and family dentistry.

Early in his career as a Special Forces Medic in the United States Army, Dr. Powell received training in the medical and dental specialities, completing rotations in these disciplines with honors. It was during these rotations that Dr. Powell realized his intense interest in the field of dentistry.

Upon completion of his service requirements, Dr. Powell attended the School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and subsequently attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry where, upon graduation, he received the prestigious Monte G. Miska award for crown and bridge excellence.

Dr. Powell continues to provide his patients with the highest quality of dentistry available through active participation in continuing education seminars and programs and by offering the latest technological advancements in dentistry today.

As a dedicated member of the dental profession, Dr. Powell has served as an officer and/or member of the Board of Trustees on most of the dental organizations to which he belongs. He remains committed to the high ideals these organizations have historically adopted and continues to seek knowledge in all areas of the dental profession.
